St. Charles Borremeo Parish was established in 1908. Our historic church is located in Salmon, Idaho on the corner of Hope Avenue and South St. Charles Street. The building is a modified Gothic architectural design and is built of large ashlar stone blocks which came from the Shoup quarry west of Salmon on the Pollard ranch.
Station churches in Leadore, Challis, Makay, Arco, and Stanley (during summer months) cover the counties of Lemhi, Custer, and Butte encompassing 11,000 sqaure miles. This makes our parish and surrounding station churches larger than nine of the smallest states in America.
